Independence - Clive Farrington: This album exhibits a fusion of styles; blending classical orchestral elements with a modern day electronic sound… as an addition to this, ‘Independence’ also boasts a hint of the 80’s too!  It’s already receiving extensive radio play and Tough Monkey Records (TMR) have just negotiated and licensed two of the tracks to GAP (Mexico) for use on their latest compilation CD. Some of the music tracks could be classed as a cross between the ‘Pet Shop Boys’, David Guetta, Scott Walker and Robert Miles. The songs are honest, suitably original and highly emotive.

Jon Brooks specialises in Music Production for Film, Artists, Television and Advertising.  He is based in Manchester, United Kingdom and runs his own recording studio. He is also a partner / director at Tough Monkey Records (TMR).  Jon has written music for hundreds of television commercials, worked on numerous animated TV series and scored a few feature films.  His work is well known in the corporate world too.

Clive Farrington found fame with the band 'When In Rome'. They had a hit single in the 80's called 'The Promise'. Clive Farrington released his first solo album, 'Independence' last year and has since teamed up with DJ Edwin Alzate and formed 'Elektrik Gem'. They are based in Los Angeles and are an electronic-synth pop unit.

INSTRUMENTAL TRACK ‘STONE COLD’

Manchester, United Kingdom - 19^th January 2013 – Manchester based music producer, Jon Brooks, teamed up with fellow Mancunian Clive Farrington (lead vocalist of ‘When In Rome’) to co-write and produce Tough Monkey Records’ latest release: ‘Stone Cold’ - a powerful yet emotive instrumental music track drawing influences from Robert Miles, Craig Armstrong and Mike Oldfield.

Jon Brooks is a British music composer specialising in Music Production for Film, Television, Artists and Advertising. He also runs his own recording studio based in South Manchester, UK.

Clive Farrington of ‘When in Rome’ fame had a No. 1 hit single in the USA called ‘The Promise’.  It was released in 1988.  In 2004, ‘The Promise’ was used as the end title theme for the successful movie, ‘Napoleon Dynamite’.

Jon and Clive also co-wrote and released Clive Farrington’s solo album, aptly named ‘Independence’ last year on 4^th July.

The new single ‘STONE COLD’ is being released on their own record label: TMR (Tough Monkey Records) via Kobalt Label Services / AWAL.  It will be available for digital download on iTunes and all other major digital distributors within the next couple of weeks.
